: Multidirectional instability (MDI) of the shoulder is characterized by generalized capsular laxity and symptomatic in more than one direction with as inferior. Generalized ligamentous specifically laxity, has been associated female athletes. While males are at a higher risk due to number extrinsic factors including participation contact/collision activities, females particularly susceptible MDI their association increased joint laxity. Patients often have loose patulous capsule display altered glenohumeral scapulothoracic mechanics. The mainstay treatment physical therapy focusing on strengthening dynamic stabilizers shoulder. In cases failed rehabilitation, operative management most frequently includes either open or arthroscopic shift reasonably good outcomes return sport. Sex-related differences concerning pathophysiology may influence decisions outcome measures. An understanding specific athlete important prevention injury.

Arthroscopic pancapsular plication for multidirectional shoulder instability in overhead athletes.
Treating shoulder multidirectional instability with an open stabilization procedure has been reported to have good results. However, few studies exist of arthroscopic plication, especially in overhead athletes. The purpose of this study was to evaluate the clinical outcomes of arthroscopic pancapsular plication for multidirectional instability in overhead athletes.Twenty-three athletes with sym...
